KACL Membership/Registration Information

KACL Spring 2021 Registration Form

  • For Spring 2021, In-Person registration requires members to provide their own face mask and complete an online Northeast State “Campus Sign In,” using their cell phone. Just show the picture of the green check mark and date from your cell phone when you arrive at the KCHE Clay Street front entrance. If you prefer, a paper copy of the “Campus Sign In” is also available.

Classes are held on the campus of ETSU at Kingsport Downtown located in the Kingsport Center for Higher Education (KCHE), 300 West Market Street, near City Hall and the Justice Center.

Classes are informal with no homework, grades or tests.  They offer the opportunity to indulge your intellectual curiosity, engage in discussion, and enjoy a congenial and cooperative setting among friends and neighbors.

Not familiar with KACL?  You may attend any one class free.

In-Person and Zoom registration begins February 22, 2021, by returning the Application for Membership along with a check made payable to KACL, ETSU at Kingsport Downtown. In-Person and Zoom membership costs for the Spring 2021 session are $25.00 per person until March 15, 2021.  Beginning March 15, 2021, membership costs will be $30.00. This fee covers all classes (In-Person and Zoom) on this term’s schedule, not per class.  If you registered for spring term, 2020, and did not request a refund and did not use your credit for fall term, 2020, your credit will be applied to this term.  Please be sure to request it when you register for spring, 2021.

PARKING AND ACCESS: Parking at KCHE is available in several city parking lots located on Market Street or in the Clay Street lot behind the building.  To avoid citations, do not park in the congressman’s parking lot located on the west side of the building.  If you have parking questions, please call ETSU at Kingsport Downtown, 423-354-5200.
